Uncharted 3 Map Layout – Das Fort (Fort)
Posted: 23. März 2012 in MapsSchlagworte: Map Layout, Uncharted 3
The Fort, a map I really hated to draw. I don’t know why, maybe because there exists only squares, squares and squares. Maybe because it is so dark and kind of sad looking. Maybe because it is a rainy map. It is really hard to tell. So please don’t judge me on this Map Layout. It isn’t probably the best one, but I am soooo happy, that I have finished it. Also I still haven’t figured out the best scan method, the lines look really messed up and kinda pixled
…. but… I’m done by now with this one. Let’s head on to a more entertaining map. There are two left for the Flashback Map Pack. So it will be either Train Wreck or Plaza.
I hardly ever got a kick off medal, I think I have only one or two of it at all. This lunchtime refers definately to the kick off medal. This time I took a photo of the first guiding lines, to show you how I constructed the Picture.
I am really not used to draw moved characters. It is kinda funny that it goes off my hand so well since I have played Uncharted 3. There are still some mistakes in the picture and I really have to work on drawing legs and foots
.
I kinda like this picture, dunno why. So I decided to give it color.
Uncharted 3 Map Layouts – Zuflucht (Sanctuary)
Posted: 19. März 2012 in MapsSchlagworte: Map Layout, Uncharted 3
For the second half of the maps of the FB Map Pack I stared with Sanctuary. The difficulty here were the three buildings with several floors. I decided to leave the part beneath sanctuary away. The different stages of the floors are highlighted in different dark colours. I hope it’s understandable. Since I was at home over the weekend, I wasn’t able to make a copy of the scribble, so I switched back to the old “pause it through window light” system. I sticked the scribble on my window and set another paper over it. I darkened the room (since it wasn’t very light on sunday), so that I could see the lines properly. The window then becomes something like a light-table. The only negative about it was, that my arms/hands are getting really tired, by drawing the lines on a horizontally way. Some lines weren’t as even as I liked it to bee.
The second part of was about depts and how you get the cash of customers, which are not paying the bills. It was kinda interesting, but I was such in a run of drawing, I did another scribble. Unfortunately I messed up the legs pretty much, they are too small, and kinda sticky and not really in the flow of the picture. Well it is just a scribble.
When in comes down boring school hours, I really have a tend to start drawing. You know these are hours, you wish they would pass really fast and which turn out to be the longest you have been on. So you have two options. Either concentrate on the topic, try to go with the question-answer-game of the teachers… oooorrr… doing something else. I usually start to draw. Mostly symbols, because they are easy and you don’t have to think a lot about it. Rarely little cartoons of whatever came to my mind. But sometimes I give it a go and try to scribble. This picture I started without even knowing what I want to draw, ending up with an Uncharted Picture. It doesn’t look really good. Well it is only about 5cm big.
Yeah it says really: “Shut up, let me go home playing Uncharted.”
Uncharted 3 Map Layout – Verlorene Stadt (Lost City)
Posted: 15. März 2012 in MapsSchlagworte: Map Layout, Uncharted 3
This is the fourt Map, the Lost City of Uncharted 3. Actually it was a pretty easy one, because a loth of parts you can “mirror” to the opposite side. I tried to show the different layers with the colors. I know there is a bigger way underneath and I really have to think about how to continue on Sanctuary, Fort and especially Highrise. Well we will see how it turns out.
This time I folded the paper instead of drawing fine middle lines. It helped much, because the foldlines were more accurate than my drawed lines. The first light scribble I did by hand, but after, when it came down to a more detailed and worked out version I chose a ruler to get clean lines. The inking I did again only by hand, without a ruler, because it would look awkward, when some lines are drawn by hand and some with the help of a ruler.
The last step is again the colouring. It is pretty much the same as in my last description. The only special thing here was to do a gradient on the stairs to show the change between the layers.
Uncharted 3 – How to get your Clan Tag on the Villains Shirt

For the Google+ Account of our Clan, I did a fast Avatar, which links Uncharted 3 and our Clan Sign in a cool way. First of all I searched for a great screenshot. I thought of three thins, that should be shown. A character, the uncharted logo and of course the Tactical Gaming Logo. First I searched for a Screenshot of a character in Front of a wall showing the emblem, but since the size of an Avatar is somehow limited my second thought was to use either a custom hero with the emblem on the shirt or a villain. Since I only found a picture with the villain, wich shows a great move as well, I decided to use this as template.

The lights on this picture were great as well, since the google+ Background is white it will gives a good effect to the pic, without doing me a lot of work. I loaded this picture into gimp and set a new layer. Then I used the free selection tool to cut out the character and copy him into the new layer.

As you can see, the ND paw is not what I would like to have, so I copied just this part into a second layer and removed / adjusted the colors. Since the paw is just red color, without any lines it es easier to remove the color first. After that you can add the color you want again, fitting it to the rest of the shirt.

There are some little Marks left, but we gonna place a logo on top of it, it isnt such a big deal. After I merged the layers together it looks like this:

Now I copied the TG Logo on a new Layer into this file. As you can see, the original Logo is way to big, so I adjusted the sice, turned it a litte and merged the sides to get the right view of it for a Shirt Emblem.

Since the color is really offensive and Dark compared with the rest of the character, I copied the Logo again in an other layer and adjusted it with the latency, brightness and transparency. Finally it looks like it belongs to the shirt. It was a pretty fast work, so it could be done much better with a little more time and patience.
